Hello,
I just installed Dawn of War featuring Winter Assault and Dark Crusade from my Steam.
I tried to play some online games with a friend everything looked fine and worked without lags.
So the problem is I cant figure out any options/resolutions that work for me.
It doesnt matter what resolution I am running neither 38402160 , 19201080 , 1280720 , 1024768 , 800*600 works .
I got real shitty, unreadable and extremely small fonts on every resolution the funny thing is my TV is 55 inches and im just sitting like 80 cm away from it.
I already used antialiasing and the ini file for all settings the internet gave me to fix it still it doesnt work.
I just dont get why it looks so stupidly wishy/washy and small on every resolution I try.
The game is kinda unplayable like this I dont even see how many resources I have or any other text is simply unreadable.

Hope some of you guys have a working fix for that
tbh I heard Soulstorm should work better for higher resolution devices, I also have Soulstorm as a DVD somewhere in my room but its not linked to Steam... Can I still play with my friend who got all games on Steam?

• Hi @plsxQzme, sorry for the late reply.

  Dawn of War was never designed to be played on a high-definition TV, I don't think! Anti-aliasing solutions interfere with the font rendering in the game, causing it to go very blurry in places (I've tried this myself on my regular PC at home).

  I'm not sure why you're having trouble with the resolution specifically, but bear in mind the following:

  1. Your TV's aspect ratio might not match that of the native computer display port (making finding a compatible resolution difficult).
  2. vDoW and WA don't support widescreen displays at all; if you find a compatible resolution there will always be black bars to the left and right of your screen.

  Soulstorm natively supports up to 1080p (haven't tested higher than that), and I think those changes were also backported to Dark Crusade (but I haven't tested DC). Your Soulstorm CD key should also work when registered through Steam without any problems.

  I actually gave it up with my current display.
  But whenever I wanna play this game I just switch to my old full hd screen and change windows resolution to 1280*768 then everything works fine!
